Anirban Dutta

Anirban Dutta is a filmmaker, still photographer and a media educator based in Delhi. He set up his company, Metamorphosis in 2003. He has directed and produced several documentary films and created many photographic essays.

Anirban's films have travelled to various film festivals including Sundance, CPH, Busan, IDFA, Hot Docs, New York Short Film Festival, San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival, Yamagata, Al Jazeera, Sheffield Docfest and Mumbai International Film Festival.

‘Flickering Lights’, the feature documentary that he co-directed and produced received the Best Cinematography Award at IDFA international competition in 2023. He was part of the Eurodoc Training Program for Creative Producing in 2021.

'Nocturnes', the feature documentary that he produced and co-directed, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024 in the World Cinema Documentary Competition where it received the Special Jury Award for Craft.
