Kriti Film Club invites you for the first end of the year screening.

The screening will mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3rd December) with exploration of disabled peoples' worlds, their issues and perspectives towards their lives, their journeys with their partners together through thick and thin.

About the Film:
The sexuality of people with disabilities is often marred with misconceptions, prejudices and myths. The film delves into the lives of a few people with disabilities as they explore their sexual identities, within themselves and through relationships. The narrative follows their journeys as they negotiate widely-held biological, medical, social and cultural beliefs and try to claim their sexual rights as individuals with varying physical disabilities. The film attempts to deconstruct the disability and sexuality debate through personal voices and choices they have made as they come to terms with their physical and sexual selves.

About the Film maker:

Arun Chadha was born in Meerut (India) in 1950. After graduation in Arts, he studied at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. He is married and lives with his family in New Delhi. His films have won the national award for best documentary twice and his films have been shown in many international festivals.
Mindscapes of love and longing(2011) produced by PSBT has won the National Award 2012 for best film on social issues from Government of India.

About the Kriti Film Club: 
The whole idea of the KRITI Film Club is to place thought- provoking cinema in a discussion group that will help to deepen understanding on these issues amongst viewers and film makers. We also serve as a borrowing and distribution space for documentary films from India and abroad.

PS: Nearest Metro station is Govindpuri Metro station on Violet line. Tara Apartments is also connected well by bus. If driving by car or bike, parking is available outside the apartments.
