About the Film:
The film documents the lives of Manual Scavengers in Tamilnadu and the dehumanising that comes with their occupation. The film brings out the fact that manual scavenging is a problem of caste, class, and gender. It raises issues related to contractual employment, delayed payments made to the #SanitationWorkers and to the larger context of ostracization faced by these #manualscavengers.

About the Film Club: Kriti Film Club is an educational and research oriented initiative of Kriti: a development praxis and communication team.#KritiFilmClub offers an independent and informal space for screening documentary films on a whole range of development, human rights & environment issues. We also serve as an access and distribution channel for documentary films since 2000.

Thanks to Habitat World for the collaborative venue support.

Open for All.
