About the Film: They probably aren't what you'd expect. They
help string together a spoken history of women who've made the unconventional
career choice. Jasoosni is a frank and intimate reflection on women in the
business of intelligence. How, even though the profession is illegal in India,
love for adventure and economic mobility draw women across social mileux to it.
Unlike the sexed up images of women detectives that flood our media streams, we
see women who negotiate curfew hours with parents, crave for romantic time with
their partner and deliberate on the ethical implications of the cases they
solve. The film also reflects on the unforgiving demand to be ‘invisible’ as
they go about their cases.
Look, who's watching you! You'd be surprised.
