"It was an absolute delight to see your film on the rocks of Hyderabad.
It brought back fond memories of my childhood and growing years running around and climbing the rocks that were accessible for the sheer pleasure of it." (Shyam Benegal)

About the Film: A love letter to the rocks of Hyderabad. We speak so often of the one Kohinoor that is lost from our area, but not so much about these other kohinoors: our priceless rocks, that we have been losing on a massive scale over the past few decades. The film celebrates the rocks that remain even as it grieves for the ones that are lost. It unveils their respectful, grateful, and affectionate infusion in the area's cultural imagination and calls to retain the rocks that remain.

About the Filmmaker: Uma is the owner of Fenugreek Productions, a studio that delivers film and media services to clients in India and abroad. She has a B.A. from Lady Shriram College, Delhi, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad and an M.A. in Communication from the Mass Communication Research Centre, J. M. I., Delhi.

About the Kriti Film Club: We are an educational initiative of a not-for-profit organisation 'Kriti team'. We screen and share documentary films on development, environment, and socially relevant issues, in an effort to positively influence mindsets and behaviour towards creating an equitous, just, and peaceful world. We also curate issue-based film festivals and organise documentary film shows in neighbourhoods, communities, schools, colleges, or institutions on request and otherwise. The Kriti Film Club has been screening documentaries regularly and independently (without any funding) in Delhi - NCR since 2000; in Mumbai since 2019, and online since 2020 (doculive.blogspot.com), to promote #thoughtprovokingcinema and #cinemaforsocialchange
