About the Film: In a Naga village in Manipur on the Indo-Myanmar border, seventy years after Indian independence, news floats in that electricity might arrive. People are skeptical as they have been let down too often in the past. A woman dreams of a better future for her family. A century-old man feels that nothing will ever change. Life flickers between hope and frustration, idealism and pragmatism as a village waits.

About the Filmmakers: Anirban Dutta is a filmmaker, still photographer and a media educator based in Delhi, India. He set up his company, Metamorphosis in 2003. He has directed and produced several documentary films and created many photographic essays. He was part of the Eurodoc Training Program for Creative Producing in 2021. He was also part of Film Independent's Global Media Makers LA Residency in 2022 with the project 'Nocturnes' that he has produced and co-directed. Anupama Srinivasan is a filmmaker, film educator and curator based in Delhi, India. About the Kriti Film Club: This is an educational initiative of a not-for-profit organisation 'Kriti development praxis and communication team'. For 25 years, we have been screening and discussing documentary films on development, environment, and socially relevant issues, in an effort to positively influence mindsets and behaviour towards creating an equitous, just, and peaceful world. We also curate issue-based film festivals and organise documentary film shows in neighbourhoods, communities, schools, colleges, or institutions on request and otherwise. The Kriti Film Club has been screening independent cinema (non-fiction and fiction) regularly and independently (without any funding) in Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of India and online (Doculive.blogspot.com), to promote 'thought-provoking cinema' #impactcinema Support us to reach many more audience groups!
