The Film: Black Pamphlets takes you into the heart of the Delhi University Student’s Union Election process. The film is an insider’s view of the candidates, strategies, resources and the politics that goes into the making of probably the biggest student election of the country. But beyond that the film through its images of the everyday in the university becomes an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to share with the film maker their own understanding of democratic practices, their futures and their today.

The Film maker: Nitin completed his Masters from Delhi University in 2003. He has been theatre and political activist since his graduation days. Due to his keen interest in the films, Nitin has been associated with a few video projects with other filmmakers. ‘Black Pamphlets’ is his first independent documentary film. Currently involved in research and practice of alternative media distribution.

The Kriti Film Club: We offer an independent and informal space for screening documentary & mainstream films as well as slide shows, on a whole range of issues connected with development, human rights & social attitudes/ trends once a month. We also serve as a borrowing & buying space for documentary films. Consistently screening films since 1999 in New Delhi, through the support of film makers and our audiences' contribution into our 'gullak' (collection box)!
