FACULTY OF FINE ARTS, JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA and SAHMAT invite you for an all-day celebration to celebrate the 95th birthday of M.F. Hussain on the 17th of September, 2010. At the M.F. Hussain Art Gallery, on the Jamia campus. Inspired by his autobiography, Hussain Ki Kahani, Apni Zabani, Jamia art students will paint and draw in the gallery and make work inspired by the idea of autobiography. There will be a photo booth set up where all visitors can have their photograph taken with a cut-out of Hussain. These photos will be presented to him on the 22nd of September when the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha inaugurates a two-day event honoring the artist. From 4 in the afternoon, eminent actors, writers, artists as well as students will read from his autobiography along with projections of his work.
