About the film: Re-afforestation in Auroville, South India 50 years ago, a unique afforestation project took root on an eroded desert plateau in Tamil Nadu, South India, when people from diverse countries came together to establish the international experimental township of Auroville. Initially driven by the necessity to make the harsh conditions more liveable, the idealism of some early residents lead them to develop expertise in cultivating the Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest, a rare forest type native to the coastal belt of Tamil Nadu. Today, the lush Auroville forest is an outstanding example of eco-restoration that recreates and preserves a type of tropical forest that is on the verge of extinction. Ever Slow Green tells the story of Auroville’s 50-years-young forest through some of the diverse characters who have dedicated their lives to bringing it to fruition.

About the film: "Shasan valo, sun lo aaj - Hamare gaon mein hamaara raaj" (Listen to us, you who rule - our villages, we control). The story of this journey of defiance through the Narmada valley. For more than 15 years, people of the valley have resisted a series of massive dams on their river, and in their struggle have exposed the deceptive heart of India's development politics. The struggle has forged unusual alliances. Adivasis in the hills, farmers from the Nimad plain, sand-quarriers and fishermen on the river, and middle-class activists. They are ranged against the powerful apparatus of this chosen model of development - ministers, magistrates, police commissioners, the World Bank, and in this era of privatization, multinational corporations. In a world where the use of violence has become the arbiter of all political debate, "Words on Water" is about a sustained non-violent resistance, that almost joyous defiance, which empowers the people as they struggle for their rights, yet saves them from the ultimate humiliation of violence.

About the film: Shot near Tibet, a magical tale about a young boy close who finds the solution to Global Warming from a monk in the mountains. The film was made possible by Spitiecosphere, an NGO based out of Spiti, whose main objective is to preserve the culture of Spiti and implement sustainable development without harming the ecology. It aims at spreading awareness as to how Global warming is impacting the fragile ecosystems.

About the film: The first wildlife Indian film made exclusively for children, aims to expose our younger audience to the diverse wild flora and fauna of India and encourage them to actively participate in wildlife conservation. The film has three animated wild animal characters--Bar Headed Geese, Slender Loris and a Black Buck--three animals, which bring the flavour of three different habitats of India. They travel together to the Kaziranga National Park to know more about the Great Indian Rhinoceros, its habitat, threats and the conservation efforts which have saved it from extinction.

About the film: Why is a historically water-full city resorting to water tankers? If Delhiites continue to rely on sucking up water from illegal tube wells, where will they turn when the groundwater dries up in 2015? How could things be different? Are there any alternatives? In this upbeat (and slightly off beat) documentary film you will meet Dolly, who has to be resourceful for water; Deya, who says that even posh colonies don’t get a decent supply of water in Delhi; and Maya, who is embarrassed to go fetch the water she needs for her daily life. Maybe we don’t need to wait for “experts” to give us one big solution to the water crisis. Maybe Delhiites already have many little solutions that could spread and quench Delhi’s thirst!
