The 10 films showing at this online festival celebrate environmental activism. They examine the fragile state of the world’s natural resources and look at the many ways in which women connect with and negotiate the politics of domination in a bid to protect nature.

A painter turns activist to save coral reefs (Coral Woman); a vulnerable pheasant is being protected against the backdrop of extreme socio-political pressures (The Jujurana’s Kingdom); decisive steps are taken by school girls in Kerala and Delhi (Bamboo Ballads; Saving Mr. Green); women become frontline fighters in the Peruvian Andes (Anay Kachi: The Salt Workers of the Peruvian Andes), Nepal (Raasaleela), Pakistan (Two Steps Forward), and large parts of India (Aikya; Narmada: A Valley Rises; Thengapalli).
