About the Film: In the export units that clothe the world, women from Bengaluru’s outskirts and faraway towns work at the same relentless pace. Migrant workers hear supervisors call them darling as the hours grind on; local women dream their children will skip the factory floor and sit under a fan, working at a computer. Moving between exhaustion and hard-won agency, this intimate portrait of women workers reveals the delicate balance of labour that powers global fashion.
