If you have given up on Our Diary 2011, know that we have not! Amidst greatest odds, the diary will soon be available for its family and friends of users. We hope many new people will join us in this movement journey which documents resistance across the country in this daily planner cum diary...an information resource, produced creatively and with inputs from many social movements around India and parts of the world.This year the movement journey begins with poetry by Faiz Ahmed Faiz and travels along looking at resistance from the streets of Delhi...on the UID; against the CWG by University Community for Democracy; profiles Saheli, an autonomous and non-funded women's group that continues to inspire many; and then briefly takes a critical look at why dams like Renuka should not be made to meet Delhi's water needs; and builds an understanding global peace movements.
It remembers activists, visionaries and thinkers from several movements and associate organisations and carries a listing of interesting books and documentaries in Bookscape and Filmscape. The Movement Map of India continues to be marked with contacts with several groups and struggles on the ground across India.The diary comes with a Bookmark and a detachable Wall planner.
