After five successful editions of the Beyond Borders Feminist Film Festival (BBFFF), here we are gearing up for the sixth edition this Winter 2025 in New Delhi! The final dates and venues will be announced shortly.
The festival is organised as part of the Global campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence (25th November to 10th December) and marks November 30th, as the 'South Asian Women's Day' - to remember the shared histories and feminist struggles of the region. Initiated by Aanchal Kapur, the festival owes its genesis in 2020 during a conversation with Kamla Bhasin, to celebrate feminist friendships in and across South Asia. Since then, we have held three in-person editions and five online editions of BBFFF!

Submission Guidelines
- Eligibility: Open to filmmakers of all genders and South Asian nationalities.
- Themes: Films explore diverse issues and perspectives from a feminist and intersectional lens - gender equality, social justice, LGBTQI+ subjects, environment and sustainable development, health, education, livelihoods, human rights, peace and democracy.
- Genres: Non-fiction, Fiction, Experimental, Animation, et al
- Duration: Between 60 seconds (1 minute) to 180 minutes
- Language: All languages. Non-English films must have English subtitles
- Completion criteria: Accepting films completed between Jan. 2022 to Oct. 2025
